Call for Proposals and Registration: Compact27 – Jan 15
Posted by Campus Compact on October 27, 2026
Hope is a practice we choose and return to, not something we wait for. Every effort that has made our communities and our democracy stronger began with people who decided hope was worth acting on, together.
At Compact27, June 7-9, 2027, InterContinental Downtown LA, Los Angeles, CA, we will explore how to cultivate and sustain hope—in ourselves and each other, on our campuses, in our communities, and throughout our democracy. Join us as we discover how to keep hope moving through intentional engagement, vibrant storytelling, bold partnerships, student-led change, and sustained action, so that we may turn our individual efforts into collective progress toward a better future.
Campus Compact is now accepting proposals for the Compact27 conference. We seek proposals that explore our theme: Hope in Motion.
Compact27 sessions should balance learning and exchange and represent a variety of perspectives. We are particularly interested in proposals that explore the following key topic areas:
- Addressing systemic inequities and wicked societal problems
- Storytelling, assessment, and impact
- Authentic campus-community partnerships
- Bridge building, dialogue & discourse to support an engaged democracy
- Civic learning and student success strategies
- Institutional policy & infrastructure for community engagement
- Operational systems, tools, and resource flows that sustain community engagement
- Student-led, student-driven engagement and leadership
Proposals are due January 15, 2027.
