Zoom Reading Community-Engaged Learning – Oct 28
Posted by Portland State University on October 20, 2026
A monthly reading group for all things Community-Engaged Learning (CEL)!
What does recent scholarship tell us about community-engaged learning techniques and strategies? Which new ideas might we try out at Portland State University PSU and/or our communities?
Join us for a monthly reading group to dive into the latest research on community-engaged learning (CEL). Together, we’ll discuss and explore new ideas and consider how they might shape our work at PSU. This is a chance to connect with colleagues who share an interest in CEL while expanding your pedagogical toolkit.
This group will meet once a month throughout the term, each session focused on reading and discussing selected articles on CEL strategies and frameworks.
For this month’s meeting, we’ll read this new 15-pg piece about climate action efforts @ community-anchored colleges & universities. Here’s the link.
Date and Time: Wednesday, October 28, 4:30-5:45 PM
