Community partners encompass a wide range of non-profit, for-profit, and governmental organizations that promote the learning, well-being, and safety of children, both inside and beyond the school walls. From providing meals and quality after-school care opportunities to promote mental and physical health, civic leadership, creativity and exploration, these organizations help strengthen the broader ecosystems in which children learn and thrive.
On October 13, the Center for Universal Education at Brookings will bring together innovative leaders working with rural and urban communities and schools in the U.S. and Uruguay to explore how community partnerships can strengthen trust and build more connected learning ecosystems.
