Virtual Training: Overview of Federal Changes to SNAP and Lessons Learned – Jul 29

Posted by PA Health Access Network on July 28, 2026

In July 2025, Congress passed H.R. 1, a law that will fundamentally change how Pennsylvanians access food and healthcare.

As these new policies take effect, PA Health Access Network PHAN, Community Legal Services, The Pennsylvania Health Law Project, and Just Harvest are coming together to convene a series of educational trainings for statewide organizations.

This training series is for organizations and staff looking to learn more about public benefits eligibility, upcoming policy changes, and how to get involved to protect access to benefits programs in Pennsylvania.

Join us on Wednesday, July 29th at 2:00 PM for our next training: Overview of Federal Changes to SNAP Cuts and Lessons Learned.

Louise Hayes from CLS and Ann Sanders from Just Harvest will review SNAP work requirements, including how eligible people can get an exemption, steps non-exempt people must take to comply with work requirements, and strategies to troubleshoot problems. Louise and Ann will also share lessons learned during the rollout of SNAP work requirements to help you prepare for Medicaid work requirements.

Register.
