U.S. Officials Withheld And Altered Homeless Data
Posted by Spotlight on Poverty and Opportunity on July 21, 2026
The American Inequality Substack reports that while new data for 2025 from the Department of Housing and Urban Development show a 3.3% decrease in homelessness from the recording-breaking in 2024, HUD has eliminated some key data points and failed to emphasize more negative findings.
