Webinar: Immigrant Access to Medical Assistance Programs – Jul 8
Posted by PA Health Access Network on July 7, 2026
In July 2025, Congress passed H.R. 1, a law that will fundamentally change how Pennsylvanians access food and healthcare.
As these new policies take effect, PA Health Access Network (PHAN), Community Legal Services, Clarifi, The Pennsylvania Health Law Project, and Just Harvest are coming together to convene a series of educational trainings for statewide organizations.
This training series is for organizations and staff looking to learn more about public benefits eligibility, upcoming policy changes, and how to get involved to protect access to benefits programs in Pennsylvania.
Our second training in the series will be hosted by Community Legal Services on Wednesday, July 8th at 2:00 PM and the topic will be Immigrant Access to Medical Assistance Programs.
CLS’s Maripat Pileggi and Lauren Davis will explain which immigrants might be at risk of losing MA starting October 1, 2026. They will also provide updates about the letters PA DHS will start sending in July about HR1’s new restrictions to immigrant access to MA and share tips for how to respond to those letters.
Who are these trainings for?
- Application assisters
- Social workers
- Legal aid groups
- Advocates
- Any organization or staff member looking to learn more about public benefits
