Partnering with PHAN to Connect More Philadelphians with SNAP
Posted by PA Health Access Network on June 30, 2026
PA Health Access Netowrk (PHAN) is excited to share that we are expanding our outreach efforts to help more Pennsylvanians access SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, also known as “Food Stamps”) benefits!
For years, PHAN has helped more than 40,000 Pennsylvanians enroll in health coverage and connect to public benefits. We are excited to announce that we are now adding additional capacity to conduct SNAP outreach in Philadelphia.
We would love the opportunity to partner with organizations serving communities in Philadelphia to get more people enrolled in SNAP by:
- Tabling at events
- Assisting clients referred by your organization
- Setting up scheduled, in-person screening & enrollment services at your facility
- Presenting to your clients, staff, partners, or volunteers about SNAP
Food insecurity remains a significant challenge in Philadelphia, with nearly one in four residents struggling to access enough food for a healthy, active life. By working together, we can help ensure that eligible individuals and families know about SNAP and how to apply.
If you or someone on your team would be interested in discussing how we can work together to share information about SNAP and help eligible people apply, please reach out to Bill England at bill@pahealthaccess.org.
