NYLC’s Youth As Solutions – Apply by Aug 28
Posted by National Youth Leadership Council on June 16, 2026
Young people don’t have to wait to make a difference in their communities – they can lead the way. Youth as Solutions is the National Youth Leadership Council (NYLC) guided service-learning program that empowers middle and high school students to identify community challenges, develop solutions, and take meaningful action alongside supportive adult mentors.
Selected teams will participate in a year-long experience from September 2026 through May 2027, receiving leadership training, coaching, service-learning resources, and opportunities to connect with peers from across the country. Teams may also be eligible for project implementation funding and will have opportunities to share their stories through NYLC channels.
Each team is led by two youth leaders and one adult mentor who work together to engage their broader community, design a youth-led project, and create lasting impact through service-learning.
