Posted by National Youth Leadership Council on May 5, 2026
The application for National Youth Leadership Council (NYLC) 2026–2028 Youth Advisory Council (YAC) cohort is now open, and applications close Friday, May 8.
At NYLC, youth voice is one of our core values. The Youth Advisory Council is our premier leadership pathway, connecting passionate high school leaders to national opportunities as experts, thought leaders, facilitators, and co-creators within NYLC programming.
YAC members actively shape programs, events, trainings, communications, and youth leadership initiatives that impact communities across the country.
We are seeking U.S.-based students in grades 9–12 who:
- Are passionate about creating change in Community Health, Education, Climate, or Civics & Democracy
- Have participated in or are interested in NYLC’s Youth as Solutions (YaS) program
- Are excited to collaborate and lead on a national level
- Are ready to build expertise and take action
The YAC is a space where young people develop real-world skills, grow as facilitators and changemakers, and help shape the future of youth leadership nationally.
Learn more and apply by May 8.
