Director of Construction, Habitat for Humanity – May 1
Posted by Habitat for Humanity Philadelphia on April 21, 2026
At Habitat for Humanity Philadelphia (“HFHP”), we are builders driven by accountability who work alongside, not for others and are defined by our stick-to-itiveness. We build alongside families and communities to create strength, stability, and self-reliance through shelter. The Director of Construction provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for all construction activities—including new home builds, rehabs, and owner-occupied repairs. This role focuses on managing an efficient, high-performing construction operation that aligns with HFHP’s mission and production goals.
The Director leads the construction teams, which include field managers, carpenters, construction staff, and warehouse coordinator, ensuring safety, quality, cost-effectiveness, and efficiency across all streams of construction. This position is responsible for directing and managing the construction “company,” including warehouse operations, staff, fleet, and equipment; supporting program budgets; mitigating risk: and driving innovation to scale impact while leveraging HFHP’s unique resources such as volunteer labor and donated materials.
