Online Event: To Test or Not to Test? What Does “Test-Optional” Really Mean – Apr 7

Posted by TEACH on April 7, 2026

Understand when test scores help, when they don’t, and how you can make the smartest decision in today’s changing college landscape.

With so many colleges adopting test-optional policies, are the SAT and ACT still important?

In this workshop, students and families will learn what test-optional really means and how admissions decisions are made at different types of colleges. We’ll break down when submitting scores can strengthen your application, when it might not matter as much, and how to decide what strategy is right for you. You’ll also learn practical tips on testing timelines, preparation, and how to stand out in the college admissions process.

Perfect for rising sophomores, juniors, and seniors starting to think about college. As well as parents, counselors, and others interested in learning more.

Date and Time: Tuesday, April 7, 6:00-6:45 PM
