Participants Needed: Community Advisory Board Research Project
Posted by Bucknell University on May 20, 2025
Sara Farbo and Melissa Intindola from Bucknell University were part of IARSLCE Practitioner-Scholar Learning Community. Their research study is focused on gathering information about the creation, maintenance and efficacy of Community Advisory Boards (CABs) who advise Centers for Community Engagement/Community Engaged Learning/Civic Engagement. They are looking for staff from centers who have CABs to participate in 1-hour long (approximately) zoom or phone interviews starting this summer (mid-May).
They hope the information that is gathered will contribute to the creation of knowledge about how centers can create and maintain intentional CABs. Their goal is to write a white paper and potentially share this information at future Community Engagement conferences.
If you work with a center who has a Community Advisory Board and would be willing to participate in the research study, please reach out to Sarah Farbo at sef020@bucknell.edu or Melissa Intindola at mli004@bucknell.edu
Thank you for considering. Feel free to share with anyone else you think may be interested.
