Our collaborative team of authors — including CHOP staff, Netter UACS staff, and Hamilton teacher-partners/SLI facilitators — just received publication confirmation for a journal manuscript that we submitted in 2023. The paper is titled “It Gave Us an Outlet”: School Staff Perspectives on Implementing and Sustaining Culturally Relevant Well‐Being Initiatives in Schools and has been published in the Psychology in Schools journal. You can view the full article here.
Our Hamilton SLI facilitators, Ms. Jackson and Ms. Miles, have been champions of our Stress Less Initiative (SLI) program — designed to support staff with addressing secondary traumatic stress and burnout — since its launch in 2021. Their perspectives, along with the qualitative program feedback featured in this article was crucial to early implementation changes that have helped the program evolve to support our unique UACS spaces!
