Philadelphia Low-income Real Estate Tax Freeze – Feb 28
Posted by City of Philadelphia on February 25, 2025
The deadline has been extended to apply for Philadelphia’s Low-Income Tax Freeze! Homeowners now have until February 28. Philadelphia takes pride in its vibrant neighborhoods with so many homeowners, and the Low-Income Tax Freeze program prevents increases to Real Estate Tax bills for vulnerable homeowners, even if the property’s assessed value or the tax rate increases.
To be eligible, applicants must meet the income requirements and own and live in the property as a primary residence. Participants cannot exceed a total yearly gross income of $33,500 for a single person or $41,500 for a married couple.
Apply online (including on tablets and mobile phones) at the Philadelphia Tax Center, by mailing a paper application, in person at one of the city’s service centers, or by calling (215) 686-6442 for more information.
