Black History Month Resources, Pulitzer Center

Posted by Pulitzer Center on February 11, 2025

We are excited to kick off our Black History Month celebrations with a curated collection of teaching resources that illuminate stories of Black history, culture, and identity. You’ll find lessons for elementary, middle, high school, and adult learners on this week’s theme: Expanding Origin Stories, Empowering Learners.

We’ve collected units from our 1619 Education Materials Collection that delve further into U.S. history, with opportunities for students to find connections between the past, present, and their hopes for the future. Created for educators by educators, each unit includes downloadable facilitation resources to get started and samples of student work that can inspire your class as they delve into this content.

Explore the full resource collection below and join us throughout February for more Black History Month resources sent directly to your inbox.
