CatchLight invites applications for Global Fellowship program
CatchLight is a visual media organization dedicated to harnessing the power of images to drive social change.
The organization invites applications for its Global Fellowship program, which supports innovative visual storytellers seeking to engage broad audiences and amplify the impact of their work through inventive distribution strategies. Acting as an incubator, the program provides $30,000 grants, promotes professional development, and fosters valuable networks and collaborations. The fellowship emphasizes creative leadership, innovative distribution methods, and meaningful audience engagement.
This year, recipients had access to paid travel and accommodations for the 2024 CatchLight Visual Storytelling Summit, held April 26-28 in San Francisco; personal development opportunities, including executive coaching; impact strategy and networking support from CatchLight staff and an extended network; and a community of like-minded fellows and industry professionals with opportunities for mentorship, education, and speaking engagements.
CatchLight welcomes applicants from all nationalities who are eager to leverage visual storytelling for social change. An international jury will select the 2025 Global Fellows, who will be announced at the annual Visual Storytelling Summit in May 2025.
Eligible applicants include long-form storytellers with a specific impact project, leaders with a plan to advance/or grow the field, and educators with innovative approaches to supporting upcoming storytellers.
The call for submissions will open on November 9, 2024, with submissions due December 14, 2024.
For complete program guidelines and application instructions, see the CatchLight website.
Deadline: December 14, 2024
