    • Free Virtual Workshops in Philadelphia for Spanish-Speaking Parents!

    As we enter the fall season, it’s a great time to equip families with valuable resources to support their children’s learning throughout the academic year. La Fuerza de Familias Latinas (LFFL) is excited to offer a new series of free virtual workshops this November! These sessions are designed to help Spanish-speaking parents and caregivers develop skills in early literacy, STEM, and an introduction to the Science of Reading. Each workshop provides practical, easy-to-apply strategies to foster children’s educational growth at home and in the classroom.

    Workshop Methodology: Through interactive discussions and hands-on activities, parents and caregivers will learn how to seamlessly integrate literacy and STEM learning into everyday routines, sparking excitement and readiness for school. Our skilled facilitators engage families in dynamic activities, helping to build strong educational foundations.

    Workshop Details:

    1. Early Literacy and STEM Workshops
      • Dates: November 4, 6, 8, 13, & 15 / 4, 6, 8, 13 y 15 de Noviembre
      • Times: 10 am or 5 pm
      • Duration: 90 minutes per session (5 Sessions / 5 Sesiones)
      • Format: Virtual (online / en línea)
      • Incentives: Participants will receive 5 culturally relevant books / Los participantes recibirán 5 libros culturalmente relevantes.
    2. Science of Reading Workshops
      • Dates: November 4, 6, 8, 13, & 15 / 4, 6, 8, 13 y 15 de Noviembre
      • Times: 10 am or 5 pm

      • Incentives: Participants will receive a culturally relevant book / Los participantes recibirán un libro culturalmente relevante.
