Pulitzer Center’s 1619 Impact Series

Last month we shared our first 1619 Impact Report with you, detailing our work from the past five years as The 1619 Project’s original and ongoing education partner. This week, we are excited to continue celebrating this important work done by educators across the United States by announcing the 1619 Impact Series.

This biweekly scaffolded series will include four virtual learning webinars and a culminating curated showcase. Each event will center our educator partners who have been doing this work and can guide other educators in sustaining its impact. Participants will receive detailed resource guides, access panels and presentations from 1619 Program alumni, and will walk away with practical tools to support their teaching.

In December, we will celebrate the work of our 1619 Impact Grantees in the final showcase, “Teaching History and Shaping Futures,” where participants can learn how to implement 1619 themes and resources by engaging with presentations most relevant to their work as an education professional.
