Location: Philadelphia, PA (On-site at Schools 4-5 days/week)
Salary: $52,000 – $54,000 | Full-Time, Exempt
Reporting to: Director, PowerUp

Agency Overview:
Big Brothers Big Sisters Independence (BBBSI) is the largest BBBS agency in Pennsylvania and one of the largest in the country. Our mission is to ignite the potential of youth by creating and supporting one-to-one mentoring relationships that close the mentoring gap and uplift the quality of the mentoring field.

Position Overview:
BBBSI is seeking an In-School Mentoring Program Manager to lead a new initiative in North, West, and/or Southwest Philadelphia schools. This role involves overseeing a team of Lead Mentors, each mentoring 50 middle school students, while ensuring successful program delivery and fostering positive youth development. The Program Manager will be stationed at one of the schools, providing leadership, coaching, and support.

Key Responsibilities:
• Leadership & Management: Supervise on-site mentoring and coach Lead Mentors through observations, planning, and 1:1 meetings. Ensure compliance with BBBSI and school policies.
• Program Coordination: Oversee youth enrollment, match assignments, and program logistics to ensure smooth and effective mentoring sessions.
• Progress Monitoring & Support: Review mentoring session notes, track progress, and conduct regular check-ins with mentees and mentors.
• Partnership Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with school leadership, staff, and partners, while actively seeking and applying feedback.

Qualifications:
• High School Diploma and 6+ years of relevant experience (e.g., social work, education, child development). Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 3+ years of management or supervisory experience.
• Passion for youth development and commitment to BBBSI’s mission.
• Experience working in diverse urban communities, with strong active listening and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of child development, family dynamics, and best mentorship practices.
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) skills preferred.
• Ability to lead group facilitation, manage cases, and build collaborative relationships with school staff and mentors.
