Drawing on the history of the need for the Collaborative as documented by Benjamin Lough and Cynthia Toms, and recently updated in a review essay by Eric Hartman, this panel will discuss the relevance of and desire for community-based global learning in today’s landscape of higher education – community collaboration. Panelists include:
- Bibi Al-Ebrahim, Education Director, Amizade
- Richard Kiely, Associate Vice Provost for Engagement and Land Grant Affairs, Cornell University
- Mary Price, Director of Teaching and Learning, Forum on Education Abroad
The discussion will be facilitated by Eric Hartman, Executive Director of the Haverford College Center for Peace and Global Citizenship and a co-founder and co-director of the Collaborative.
