Chester County Community Foundation invites applications from local nonprofits
The Chester County Community Foundation in West Chester, Pennsylvania, aims to connect people who care with causes that matter, so their philanthropy makes a difference now and forever.
Nonprofits are urged to submit one grant proposal annually, which will be shared with the grants committee, as well as made available to each of the foundation’s separate donor advised funds. Proposals submitted by nonprofits are considered for two types of grants:
Field of Interest & Donor Advised Funds: Grants will be awarded to charitable nonprofits working in all fields of interest are considered for grant awards (i.e. arts, culture, and humanities; education; community improvement; environment; religion; health; and human services). Grants focus on Chester County causes and issues but are not limited to Chester County. General operating grants are encouraged. Nonprofits should be specific about their mission, goals, and measurable outcomes. Proposals can be submitted throughout the year.
Fund for Chester County Capacity Building Grants: The goal of capacity building grants is to strengthen the effectiveness of organizations serving the region. For eligibility in this grant program, nonprofits must be located in and serve Chester County. Nonprofits budgets must be $500,000 or less. There is a deadline for this category of September 11, 2024.
Preference is given to small and mid-size nonprofits located in and serving Chester County, which strengthen the social, cultural, health, educational and/or economic character of a community.
To be eligible, applicants must be charitable, tax-exempt organizations with 501(c)(3) certification.
