IBM Sustainability Accelerator invites applications for resilient cities cohort

The IBM Sustainability Accelerator is a social impact program addressing environmental threats around the world.

The accelerator program invites applications for proposals for technology-driven projects advancing resilient cities. In support of the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goal 11 to make cities inclusive, safe, resilient, and sustainable, this year’s accelerator cohort aims to find ways to foster urban resiliency in the long-term. Recipients will receive pro bono IBM support for projects addressing challenges such as climate change, pollution, or extreme weather. Together, selected organizations and IBM design, develop, and deploy technology configured to accelerate, scale, and otherwise optimize specific interventions directly benefiting communities.

Nonprofit and governmental organizations are encouraged to submit a proposal for tech-driven projects that would benefit from hybrid cloud and AI solutions, sustainability software, data science-enabled insights, and expert consulting and design services.

The accelerator program will support each selected organization for up to two years. Throughout the experience, IBM provides access to platforms such as watsonx, IBM Cloud, IBM Environmental Intelligence Suite, and Red Hat open source technologies, as well as technical mentorship to build long-term capacity.

Eligible applicants include nonprofit and governmental organizations around the globe.

For complete program guidelines and application instructions, see the IBM website.

Deadline: April 30, 2024
