City school district offers training on contract process
The School District of Philadelphia will sponsor a workshop on the process and procedures on how to respond to the District’s funding solicitations on Tuesday, January 5th and Thursday, January 7th.
The workshop on How to Do Business with the School District of Philadelphia is being offered in advance of the upcoming release of the Renaissance Schools Initiative – Year 1 Request for Qualifications scheduled to be released in January 2010.
The workshops are open to any individual or organizations interested in understanding the basic procedures of the District’s procurement process.
Through the Renaissance Schools Initiative, the District will request proposals from individuals and organizations who have successful track records of turning around failing urban schools and who wish to participate in Year 1 of the Renaissance Schools Initiative.
The workshops will be held at The School District of Philadelphia Education Center, 440 North Broad Street, at 5pm. To attend, register by calling 215-400-6925 or email your name and contact information to cjbolger@philasd.org.
