Service Year Alums Awards – May 31
Posted by Service Year Alliance on March 26, 2024
At Service Year Alliance, we know firsthand that the individuals that participate in a year of service are the most important voices in national service. More than anyone, alums can share the impact of service – on their own lives, in the communities in which they serve, and for our country.
Whether it’s combating hunger and homelessness, responding to natural disasters, tutoring students in math and reading, building climate resilient communities, or supporting veterans and military families, service year alums are strengthening our communities and bridging America’s divides.
We are committed to sharing the perspectives and experiences of these alums to demonstrate the power of a service year. That’s why we’ve established the first-ever Service Year Alums awards to showcase the ways in which service years help bridge divides across lines of difference, and inspire future generations of service year members.
Did you or someone you know go above and beyond in bridging divides and fostering positive change during a service year? Did your service year help you find common ground, build relationships, and collaborate with others?
Awardees will receive $1,000 each and have multiple opportunities to be recognized for their distinguished service.
Embrace the opportunity to reflect on your service journey, share your experiences of bridging divides across lines of difference, and celebrate your commitment to service. Apply by Friday, May 31 for the Service Year Alums Awards!
If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to reach out to jhenry@serviceyear.org.
