Later this fall, Teach Plus will be launching a new program, the Philadelphia Affinity Group Network, which seeks to cultivate authentic, inclusive, intersectional spaces shaped by and for educators of color. The network will begin with 20 affinity groups across the city in 2023-24, each led by an Affinity Group Facilitator who will receive ongoing development and support from a Teach Plus leadership coach.

This is a two-year paid leadership opportunity for 20 current K-12 school-based educators of color who will create affirming and safe affinity group spaces and support their colleagues in navigating and improving their school environments.

Applications are open, and the deadline for applying is September 22, 2023, at 11:59 pm.

1. Nominate one or more equity-minded school-based educators of color from your personal or professional networks.

2. Use this toolkit with sample newsletters and social media posts to share this information broadly with colleagues and other interested parties.
