NORTH10 PHILADELPHIA (NORTH10) is committed to improving the overall quality of life in the Hunting Park – East Tioga communities of North Philadelphia. Founded in 2007 as the Lenfest Center, the organization started by providing safe, structured, and free programming to develop the academic, social, and emotional skills of neighborhood K-12 children and youth.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

The Facilities Manager is responsible for managing the design, planning, construction and maintenance of equipment, machinery, buildings and other facilities. The position plans, budgets and schedules facility modifications, including estimates on equipment, labor materials and other related costs. 

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Responsibilities and duties include but are not limited to:

  • Supervise daily cleaning and stocking of bathrooms, locker rooms, kitchens, classrooms and meeting rooms, offices, lobby and gymnasium.
  • Coordinate daily collection and emptying of trash.
  • Supervise daily cleaning and monitoring of parking lot, courtyard, and sidewalk, including snow removal.
  • Supervise regular cleaning and maintenance of windows, doors and floors.
  • Perform regular treatment of gymnasium
  • Perform minor repairs such as repairing door handles, fixing leaks, etc.
  • Supervise the management of all facilities and cleaning related inventory.
  • Serve as the on-site contact person with electricians, plumbers and other contractors who visit the center to perform major repairs.
  • Manages preventive maintenance of facility equipment, including HVAC and office equipment.
  • All other duties as assigned
