Partnership and Curriculum Coordinator
The West Chester University Foundation invites applications and nominations for the position of Partnership and Curriculum Coordinator of the 3E Institute (Institute for Educational Excellence and Entrepreneurship), an external outreach arm of the College of Education of West Chester University of Pennsylvania. Innovation, problem based learning, 21st Century skills, mentoring and an emphasis on STEM* curricula are part of the 3E teacher professional development model.
The Coordinator will be an experienced educator who garners resources through grants and contracts, forges partnerships with businesses and other entities, and ensures content rigor and pedagogical coherence for professional development courses, workshops and seminars.
The ideal candidate will have the expertise necessary for the following job responsibilities: online course development using a Blackboard platform; teaching Web 2.0 and open source web tools and resources in online collaborations; development and coordination of problem based and other inquiry based teacher professional development curricula, Project Management skills instruction for educators; recruitment, matching and orientation of business partners with teacher externs; developing grants and soliciting contracts.
Candidates are required to have a bachelor’s degree, a master’s degree or equivalent experience in a field related to the job responsibilities mentioned above, teaching or training experience, and grant or contract experience. The successful candidate will be a skilled communicator and team player who is innovation-minded, able to capitalize on new opportunities, results oriented and productive. Strong writing is necessary. Writing samples will be required of all who interview.
Reporting to the Director of the 3E Institute, the position is a full-time temporary appointment through June 30, 2010 and continuing pending funding with the West Chester University Foundation, subject to its policies and procedures. The position is available immediately.
