Resources for Women’s History Month, Pulitzer Center
Posted by Pulitzer Center on March 14, 2023
March is Women’s History Month, and today marks International Women’s Day! We’re happy to join educators worldwide in celebrating women’s achievements and highlighting ongoing struggles for gender equity.
Build your knowledge about women’s leadership in conflict resolution with Pulitzer’s News Quiz on women building peace in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). This quiz introduces changemakers working to break the cycle of violence that has affected the DRC since 1996. It also invites you to reflect on the women working for peace in your own community. Take the quiz yourself, or use it to engage your class! Find teaching ideas here.
Want to host a guest speaker to share more stories about women’s rights and resistance? Explore our list of featured guest speakers for Women’s History Month and schedule a free virtual visit for your class! These journalists can also connect with your students year-round.
