New Report: Overdue: A New Child Care System That Supports Children, Families and Providers

New research released by The RAPID Project uses data collected from 15,556 caregivers between April 2020 and September 2022 to expose the growing child care crisis. According to their research, the high price tag and inequitable access to quality care have negatively impacted both parents and providers. Disruptions in child care including staff shortages, low retention, and higher levels of emotional stress have perpetuated the crisis. The researchers believe an investment in better systematic resources would supply providers with adequate compensation and the support needed to provide high-quality care to children.
