Language accessibility: the next big upgrade on Phila.gov
Posted by City of Philadelphia on December 13, 2022
The City of Philadelphia’s website is an important resource for Philadelphians to find the information they need for their everyday lives. On the site, residents can stay updated on City services, trash and recycling collection schedules, job postings, events, and so much more. Phila.gov is a vital tool, and we continue to improve the user experience. In fact, visitors to the site will notice some important enhancements happening soon.
Language accessibility a top priority.
We are making room for major changes to improve language accessibility for non-English speakers and readers. Next year, phila.gov will feature native translations in multiple languages. The team is piloting translations for key areas of the site in Spanish and Chinese, to start. To help support these important improvements, we’ve also been working on several new features.
