Cora L. Brooks Foundation Offers Funding for Environmental Efforts Focused on Delaware and Susquehanna River Watersheds
Deadline: December 18, 2009 (Application Checklist Request)
The Cora L. Brooks Foundation will award grants for environmental conservation, restoration, or education within the watersheds of the Delaware and Susquehanna rivers in the eastern United States, with particular emphasis on environmental protection issues relating to clean water and water-related ecologies.
The foundation provides support for a variety of projects, including stabilizing and restoring a wetland area, matching funds to government grants or challenge grants, providing incentive to attract a broader funding base, revitalizing public waters and land harmed by past industries, providing public access to conserved land, studying and bringing public awareness to environmental repair issues, and purchasing specific materials or equipment for environmental work.
Applicants must be nonprofit 501(c)(3) organizations.
Grants will range in amounts from $1,000 to $15,000.
To be considered for funding in 2010, organizations must request an application checklist in writing from the foundation by December 18, 2009. Proposals are due January 11, 2010.
