Seeking Donations and Volunteers: Health and Education Day, Taborfest – Aug 27
Posted by Katie's Cupboard on August 2, 2022
Our health and education day for the community will be held on August 27, 2022, 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
Katie’s Cupboard @ Tabor Lutheran Church has served 80 to 100 families in its community as a local food pantry since 2019. We hope you will consider donating to our free summer health, wellness, and education festival, Taborfest, to provide essential school supplies and food to children and families in our impoverished Philadelphia neighborhoods.
In anticipation of Taborfest, we seek donations from local grocery stores, department stores, and supermarkets to assist needy families. We serve a diverse network of households from underrepresented backgrounds and people of color who are experiencing food insecurity. To meet our goal, we are seeking donations of 150 each of school supplies such as bookbags, pencils, rulers, pencil sharpeners, pens, flash drives, and other writing and reading essentials for the children in our community. We also seek food donations and volunteers to help us
We need volunteers and people who are willing to facepaint, dance, cook, move items, take blood pressure, or anything else for the community.
