Director, Program for Community-Engaged Scholarship, Princeton

The Director is responsible for articulating a compelling vision and carrying out the mission, goals and objectives for the Program for Community-Engaged Scholarship (ProCES). The program ensures that Princeton’s signature commitment to service finds innovative, ethical, and meaningful forms of expression throughout the undergraduate curriculum. The Director provides bold, forward-thinking leadership to foster intellectual exchange, student learning, and community impact through ProCES course development, faculty support, programming, and research. The Director deepens the awareness and practice of community-engaged scholarship at Princeton by cultivating and nurturing relationships with faculty members, students, and staff in the academic and administrative departments. The Director represents ProCES and the Office of the Dean of the College on several University committees. The Director also works to advance the theory and practice of community-engaged scholarship through research, publications, and presentations. This position directly oversees the administration, execution, and evaluation of all ProCES programming, including supervising two full-time staff members plus others as needed. The Director manages ProCES finances, and ensures that thoughtful and continuous assessment informs ProCES initiatives and strategic planning.
