TEA New Teacher Program: Building Relationships with Families – Mar 10
Posted by Teacher Education Alliance on February 15, 2022
The Teacher Education Alliance (TEA) New Teacher Program was created through a collaboration among regional teacher education programs and organizations. The purpose is to create a safe and engaging space for early career educators to explore the challenges and opportunities they are encountering in their classrooms.
Each workshop will be led by an expert in the field, with tips and strategies as well as guided conversations aimed at sharing practice and building a sustainable, professional community of new educators. Topics include culturally responsive teaching, building a culture of inquiry, effective questioning, self-care, and much more! Earn one Act 48 credit hour for each workshop you attend.
Led by City of Philadelphia’s Office of Children & Families, this session will provide techniques for school based staff to develop their own creative methods to foster relationships with students, family and community. The session will be led by Gregory Wright who has 10+ years experience working with families in school and out of school settings.
