Seasonal Director, Policy & Advocacy, TNTP

TNTP seeks a part-time Seasonal Director to work up to 25 hours a week on the Policy & Advocacy Team. This position is based out of a home office anywhere in the U.S. This role is anticipated to end in June 2022.

What You’ll Do

As a Seasonal Director you will lead people and partner with clients on a portfolio of projects, contribute to our project, state and/or regional strategy and invest others in strategies that align work on individual projects with broader organizational strategies and goals for students.

Specific Responsibilities Include

  • Managing the design and implementation of complex projects and strategies, ensuring progress towards ambitious goals that improve outcomes for students at scale.
  • Generating new ideas for services, partnerships, and projects, including contributing to/writing proposals for new work in alignment with a regional strategy.
  • Cultivating and managing high level client relationships with senior district/network leaders and other critical stakeholders such as school leaders and teachers
  • Supporting districts in designing and building systems to monitor their progress against their strategic priorities
  • Leading the customization and implementation of diagnostics that support clients in clarifying and identifying strategic priorities
  • Aligning district systems, resources and structures to support evolving program/project strategies
  • Creating high-quality, data-driven reports demonstrating the effect of the team’s work towards key project goals. Managing staff time and work on projects in alignment with planned allocations
  • Bring excellent management skills, including experience effectively managing diverse teams, building inclusive team culture and growing and developing staff to be successful in their work and career

Community Engagement Responsibilities May Also Include

  • Designing, implementing and assessing the ongoing effectiveness of community engagement resources and trainings
  • Managing the design and implementation of community engagement resources and training programs for a variety of stakeholders including community stakeholders, teachers, school and district leaders
  • Developing integrated strategies and resources that enable districts and communities to work towards shared goals of improved educational experiences and increased life outcomes for all students
  • Integrating community engagement into academic and talent strategies
