Webinar: The End of Family Homelessness? Evidence and Analysis for Stronger Policy – Nov 10
Posted by The American Academy of Political & Social Science on November 9, 2021
Contemporary research helps us understand the dynamic nature of homelessness, how it affects individuals and families, how it is shaped by (and shapes) socio-demographic inequality in America, and the ways in which public policy and local interventions mitigate or exacerbate the crisis. Join the American Academy of Political and Social Science (AAPSS) for a webinar and discussion to review key insights from new and existing research that can provide guidance for homelessness policies and state and local interventions. Panelists include Marc Dones, chief executive officer, King County Regional Homelessness Authority; Chris Herring, postdoctoral fellow, Harvard University and assistant professor of Sociology, University of California Los Angeles; Sharon McDonald, senior fellow for Families and Children, National Alliance to End Homelessness; Zach Parolin, assistant professor, Bocconi University and senior fellow, Center on Poverty & Social Policy, Columbia University; and Beth Shinn, Cornelius Vanderbilt chair and professor, Vanderbilt University.
This event will take place on Wednesday, November 10 at 1 p.m. EST.
