The Program Manager position is a full-time position, with whose majority responsibility is to manage the day to day program operations of Talking Matters (TM), which is housed within the Philadelphia Area Sexual Health Initiative (PASHI) department of HPS. WGTC is a study to develop and evaluate a teen pregnancy prevention intervention for African American adolescent youth ages 15-19. The intervention is comprised of 5 modules and culminates in the creation of a social media project designed by each TM cohort under the guidance of program facilitators.  TM also contains an arm that trains parents, care givers and trusted adults in adolescent serving programs on how to be a sexual health resource. In addition, the program manager will be responsible for PASHI’s two Pennsylvania Department of Health (PA DoH) teen pregnancy prevention programs, Horizons and SHARP.  The Program Manager, will be responsible for ensuring the proper coordination of these two programs, along with health education staff and at times will help facilitate program sessions. The Program Manager will coordinate the writing of PA DoH quarterly reports. The Program Manager will also assist the Program Director with the identification and conceptualization of funding opportunities that will help sustain the department.

The ideal candidate has experience with proposal conceptualization and writing activities, is dynamic, has outstanding people skills, values team membership, values collectively working with colleagues to strengthen programs and PASHI as a whole, possesses strong time management skills, the ability to multi-task, and the charisma and facilitation skills to engage adolescents. In addition, the Program Manager will work closely with partner organizations to ensure effective program deliverables and services. Based on federal, state, local, or PHMC public health guidance related to Covid-19, programming may also take place virtually. Successful applicants will be required to complete mandatory Criminal, FBI, and Child Abuse clearance checks in a timely manner. The Program Manager reports to the Program Director.
