Explore STEM Philly-Chester Seeking STEM Volunteers
Posted by Philadelphia Education Fund on January 11, 2022
Explore STEM Philly (ESP) is an enrichment STEM program provided by the Philadelphia Education Fund (PEF). Its goal is to expand access to STEM education and career awareness among historically underserved student populations. Through ESP, PEF staff recruit, train, and schedule STEM professionals to provide 1-hour presentations in Middle and High Schools within the School District of Philadelphia. This year we are expanding ESP to Chester County. During the months of January – June we will be serving 300 classrooms with STEM Professionals.
Our volunteer speakers undergo training through PEF which helps them design presentations that maximize student engagement. Our program will begin in January 2021, but we are accepting applications now.
