‘The 1619 Project’ Resources for Afterschool Education – Oct 20

We’re excited to announce a content partnership with Mizzen by Mott, a free app to help afterschool professionals deliver exciting learning opportunities that inspire, engage, and empower young learners. Now available on the Mizzen app, you can explore our new resources to support educators in bringing The 1619 Project into the afterschool space! You can learn more about this content partnership here.
These resources for using 1619 in afterschool programs are designed to engage students’ creativity, teamwork, critical thinking, and media literacy skills. In addition to examining the history and the legacy of slavery in the United States, students will celebrate the contributions of Black Americans to democracy and explore the genius of Black innovators and artists.
