Papoose Conservation Wildlife Foundation Invites Applications for Youth, Applied Conservation Grants
The Papoose Conservation Wildlife Foundation is focused on both wildlife science and children’s experiences in nature, and aims to merge its two missions to enable children to become the scientists of tomorrow and preserve wildlife diversity.
To that end, the foundation is inviting applications for its Children in Nature and Applied Conservation grants programs, which will award up to $5,000 in support of two separate categories:
Children in Nature: Programs that take place in the wilderness and provide opportunities for children to explore nature or expand children’s appreciation of nature. Preference is given to projects connecting children to species or habitats they might not recognize and programs that provide children with unstructured or minimally structured time in nature.
Applied Conservation: Projects focused on free-ranging wildlife or plant species and support the conservation of species in their natural habitat. Work may include the protection of species and/or habitats. Preference is given to projects focusing on less-recognized species.
To be eligible, applicants must be affiliated with a U.S.-based nonprofit organization.
See the Papoose Conservation Wildlife Foundation website for complete program guidelines and application instructions.
Deadline: October 1, 2021
