Posted by City Year Philadelphia on August 3, 2021
Do you know a recent graduate who is wondering what is next? City Year recruits young adults to serve in schools full time to help students stay on track to graduation and fully engage in their learning. The City Year AmeriCorps member role is complex and challenging, as AmeriCorps members serve full-time in high-need schools to help students build social-emotional and academic skills needed to graduate on time. The responsibilities of the role range from leading after school programs and fostering students’ positive belief in themselves to using data and analytics to build individualized success plans for students. In addition to tutoring and mentoring students during the school day, the responsibilities of the role include leading after school programs and working with teachers to apply data and analytics to build individualized success plans for students. The benefits of serving a year with City Year include:
- A bi-weekly living stipend
- Exclusive scholarships to more than 120 leading colleges and universities
- 11-months of professional development
- And more!
