The Mayor’s Office of Civic Engagement and Volunteer Service is seeking VISTA Leaders to support the Serve Philadelphia VISTA Program. The Serve Philadelphia VISTA Program places 60+ full-time AmeriCorps service members across 25+ City Departments for one year to fight the injustices and causes of poverty. The Serve VISTA Leaders will support VISTA members through mentorship, professional development and training. VISTA leaders will also support recruitment efforts, annual Serve VISTA and AmeriCorps events, and diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives.
A successful VISTA Leader candidate will have a high level of emotional intelligence, effective communication skills, the capacity to motivate a diverse group, and the ability to solve problems as they arise in real time. This position is full-time for 12 months and previous successful completion of a National Service or Peace Corps term is required. The stipends for leaders in Philadelphia is $15,757.56/year.
