Health Report: Physical, Mental & Emotional Health: Emerging from the Pandemic – May 26
Posted by The Philadelphia Inquirer on May 25, 2021
Join us for Inquirer LIVE: Health Report as Dr. Walke and Inquirer health editor Charlotte Sutton discuss physical, mental and emotional health as we emerge from the pandemic and find our way back to lives that feel closer to normal.
Date and Time: Wednesday, May 26, 2021, 4:15-5:15 PM
Lisa M. Walke, M.D., is chief of the Division of Geriatric Medicine in the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. She leads a team of physicians, advanced practice practitioners, nurses and social workers who care for older adults, as well as investigators who research issues such as health disparities, Alzheimer’s disease, sleep disorders, and the interface between socioeconomic status and disability.
Though her team’s focus is patients in their 60s and beyond, their work touches entire families and even caregivers, especially now as we all navigate the changes – and losses – created by the COVID-19 pandemic. Challenging as the past year has been, it has also presented learning opportunities for providers, caregivers and the patients they serve.
