New Report: Reimagining National Service: A Roadmap to a Service Presidency
Posted by Brookings Institution on May 4, 2021
We are excited to share Service Year Alliance’s new white paper “Reimagining National Service: A Roadmap to a Service Presidency.” As part of our ongoing efforts to urge President Biden to become the “Service President” and the Biden-Harris Administration to significantly invest in national service, we’ve released this report that serves as our comprehensive guide on the steps they could take to make national service a common expectation and opportunity for all young people in America.
The report highlights opportunities for expanding national service, outlines the gaps, and offers solutions to improve and expand upon the existing national service infrastructure. It offers six recommendations that would allow President Biden to make national service a foundational part of his Administration, building off the principles and ideals that have shaped his career.
