Tax Benefits: Getting the Money You’re Owed & Deserve – Apr 13
Posted by Office of Councilmember Allan Domb on April 13, 2021
Every year, Philadelphians miss out on receiving hundreds of millions of dollars that are owed to them through many local, state and federal tax benefits. Now, more than ever, it’s important that every resident who is eligible this year for these benefits learn how they can apply for and receive the money they deserve.
Our city has many great agencies and organizations standing by, ready to help residents of all ages receive these benefits – whether it’s the Earned Income Tax Credit, Wage Tax Relief, Property Tax Relief, Medical Assistance, SNAP or any others.
Education and outreach are critical if we no longer want to leave money on the table for people most in need. That’s why I’m bringing together the city’s experts who can discuss all of the benefits available and to help residents take the necessary steps to file for the money owed to them.
Please join Councilmember Allan Domb on Tuesday, April 13 at 6:30 p.m. for a Tax Benefits Virtual Town Hall. If you know someone who would benefit from this event, please don’t hesitate to share this message with them. All Philadelphians are welcome!
Our featured guests include representatives from Benefits Data Trust, Campaign for Working Families and the City of Philadelphia’s Department of Revenue. They will provide brief presentations about tax benefits available to all Philadelphians and open the discussion to questions from attendees.
