Are you concerned about the lack of teacher diversity in your schools? We are and are wondering if you have any students of color interested in becoming a teacher. Through our Social Action and Justice Education Fellowship (SAJE) initiative, we offer several full scholarships (tuition and room & board covered and partial scholarships ($4K out-of-pocket; $125K over 4 years per student) and an amazing program that surrounds each fellow with support and enrichment. If you would like a 30-minute information session for you and/or your school, please reach out to Alex Dominquez (215) 572-2839 | domingueza@arcadia.edu for scheduling. Alex is our admission expert/contact with schools in our region.
About SAJE
Addressing the nationwide shortage of educators of color, Arcadia’s Social Action and Justice Education (SAJE) Fellowship prepares students to serve as classroom teachers, provide mentorship in diverse communities, and lead schools, programs, and educational opportunities geared toward social justice. Each SAJE fellow will earn a bachelor’s degree aligned with Arcadia’s Secondary Education track, leading to certification in Biology, Chemistry, English, General Science, Mathematics, or Social Studies.

Application Process
Students interested in the program must apply to Arcadia AND complete the SAJE Fellowship Interest Form. Applicants can nominate themselves or be nominated. To be considered for the Fall 2021 fellowship cohort, prospective students that want priority should submit their applications by April 1. We recommend completing the interest form and submitting the essay first. The essay can then be reused when applying more generally to Arcadia University.
