Partnerships for Transformative Change – Dec 14

Ithaca College, in partnership with Cornell Cooperative Extension of Tompkins County, Sustainable Tompkins, and Building Bridges, is pleased to invite campus sustainability professionals and their community partners to a virtual discussion series exploring the campus-community relationship.

We are now offering part two of the three-part series, titled Partnerships for Transformative Change in a Time of Mounting Crises: COVID-19, systemic racism, economic disruption, and the climate emergency. Partnerships for Transformative Change will take place Monday, December 14^th at 3 PM over Zoom. Registration is now open. Registration and additional information can be found here.

In the face of our four current crises – COVID-19, systemic racism, economic disruption, and the climate emergency – we must begin reaching across silos to address our shared challenges. In this discussion, we’ll explore what it means to be in a community and how to leverage our collective power for progress across the crises. While entirely virtual, this discussion will be heavily participatory, with all participants asked to engage in break-out rooms and group dialogue. Campus and municipal sustainability staff are encouraged to attend and consider inviting local community partners.

Partnerships for Transformative Change is part of the Campus to Community: Leveraging Power to Create Community-Wide Change series, which addresses campus and community relationships and interdependence.
