COVID-19 misinformation Global Service-Learning module
Posted by Amizade Global Service-Learning on May 26, 2020
Amizade is honored to share a free virtual global service-learning module on overcoming COVID-19 misinformation and disinformation.
You can find the module here: https://amizade.org/programs/vsl/misinformation-and-disinformation/
This is intended to help train students how to identify misinformation and begin the process of slaying it. The entire world has a responsibility to share accurate information about COVID-19 with their networks and figure out ways to ensure mis-information disappears. Our lives may depend on it.
Students can choose to use this tool as an individual learner or facilitated by an educator. The module is particularly useful for civic engagement offices, global service-learning courses, and faculty looking to connect their virtual coursework to relevant and urgent social action. In addition to this tool, Amizade has also developed a series of virtual service-learning experiences, internships, and courses with our community partners around the world. You can learn about those here: https://amizade.org/programs/vsl/
To complement the COVID-19 mis-information module, we’ve also launched a live talk show in which Amizade community leaders from around the world share real-time updates and reflections on how COVID-19 is impacting their neighborhoods. You can join us every friday at noon here: https://www.facebook.com/amizadeGSL
