Philadelphia STEM Equity Collective (PSEC) Virtual Meeting – May 27
Posted by Philadelphia Education Fund on May 12, 2020
Using a collective impact model, the Philadelphia STEM Equity Collective (PSEC) was established in January 2020 by GSK and the Philadelphia STEM Ecosystem (an initiative of the Philadelphia Education Fund). Its goal is to cultivate STEM equity, access, and inclusion in STEM career pathways for Philadelphia students who are traditionally underrepresented in STEM occupations.
We currently have over 80 PSEC members who represent schools, nonprofits, government agencies, corporations, universities, museums, and other STEM stakeholders. We want to engage more teachers, students, parents, and family members!
The next PSEC meeting will be virtual, and held from 4:30 – 6:30 PM on Wednesday, May 27.
Do you know any teachers, students, and/or parents who might like to participate? We would sincerely appreciate their feedback – during this meeting and, if they choose, as ongoing members of PSEC. Please circulate this request so that we can gather community input regarding equitable STEM education.
Contact Betsy Payne for more details or to register.
