Essential Functions
Community Engagement: The CES will support efforts in outreach/in-reach to engage potential participants of the Eleventh Street Family Health Care Services. The CES will focus on enhancing our community partnerships relevant to patient recruitment from all demographics, specifically black and brown-raced male populations. The CES will participate in standing meetings, internally and externally; attend outreach events and fairs and participate, as well as inform the planning and dissemination of internal, relevant events.
Role Modeling: The CES will provide trauma-informed peer support, which includes empowerment, modeling, and transferring of skills (i.e., emotional regulation/intelligence; assertive communication, educational, and vocational support). The CES will actively assist with the recruitment and retention efforts of adult and young male participants.
Teamwork: Collaborate with staff both within Eleventh Street Family Services and in the community, including active and open communication with co-workers, participants, patients and peers. Ability to take input and constructive feedback from members of the team, as well as provide it in a constructive and respectful manner. The
CES should also be able to provide on-going education to the community about Eleventh Street mission, sanctuary- trauma informed care approach and our anti-racism practice. The CES will work closely with different teams to develop, inform and disseminate salient projects, initiatives and seasonal programs.
